I also like the students to rely on their ears just as equally, so the other half of the lesson is usually dedicated to learning music without relying on reading music. Hello, I am currently finishing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Saxophone performance at the University of North Texas and am a teaching fellow there instructing undergraduate saxophone majors. I was originally accepted as a multiple woodwind major there as I have played flute and clarinet on cruise ships and jazz gigs as well as flute and clarinet classical works.
