I am an immensely passionate and dedicated musician who loves sharing the joy of music with others. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2018 with a Dual Degree in Jazz Composition and Saxophone Performance. My passion for teaching began in my Junior year of high school in 2011-2012, when I spent 6 months teaching guitar lessons to elementary school students at a local YMCA after-school program. With a class size of approximately 10-15 students, I learned many valuable teaching methods for students of all backgrounds and learning methods. My teaching experience began as community outreach & engagement with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra's "Crescendo" program. I ran group clarinet lessons and performed in Boston Public Schools. I entered a similar relationship with teaching when I relocated to Chicago in 2016 to play with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Upon my return to Boston, I began teaching privately and joined the faculty of the North End Music & Performing Arts Center where I am a Woodwind Teaching Artist for the Eliot Band Program, as well as teach private lessons. My main goal in my teaching style is to develop the passion for music in students, music helps them to analize and think, create and provide progress in their school activities and classes. I'm trying always to create a friendly atmosphere using an entry point to better explained a musical piece and its characteristics. I also motivate them reproducing videos and recordings of specific music styles, famous clarinet players. I have had various private students since 2006, teaching students in many topics including, saxophone, clarinet, jazz theory, composition, improvisation, and jazz piano. From summer of 2013 to spring of 2018 I taught private saxophone and clarinet lessons for Shrewsbury Public Schools, while taking private piano, clarinet, and theory students from the Music Teachers Network referral until 2017.
