I have been teaching private lessons on drums, guitar, and bass for a total of 8 years. I started teaching drum lessons when I use to visit back home for the summer during my college years. When I graduated, I started working at a School of Rock in Westchester County, NY. Teaching drums, bass, guitar, and beginner piano. In addition, I also coached and ensemble directed three of the performance groups at the school of rock as well. Read More

I studied music in middle school and high school through wind ensemble, jazz band, marching band, show choir, and private lessons. During this time I also attended music camps at McNally Smith and Berklee College of Music. I then moved to Nashville and graduated from Belmont University's School of Music. In Nashville, I have played with many independent artists across multiple genres as well as toured with bands across the country. Read More

My experience with teaching began in high school, about twenty years ago. Way before I had any degrees in music. I was very involved in the instrumental music program at my school and took private lessons to reinforce and enhance my knowledge and practice of the craft. A friend of mine was interested in drum set so I taught him the same way my teacher taught me. I shared whatever information I could so he could practice correctly and play with other musicians. can teach from any book the student is interested in, but if he or she is unsure where to begin, I recommend the following. For basic snare drum technique, I teach out of "Alfred's Drum Method Book One," as well as printing out a page of all 40 essential rudiments for each student; I would teach these as the student progresses. For beginner drum set, I teach out of "Alfred's Beginning Drum Set Method," as well as playing along to songs the student picks out; this is truly the best way to improve on the instrument. Read More

I began teaching when I moved to Wisconsin in 1990. I had twelve students I taught at the Music Go Round studio and three students I taught in their home. I attended West Texas State University (now AM) in Canyon Texas from 1981 - 1983. In 1983, I decided to pursue a professional music career and tour with bands. After moving to Nashville in 1986, I was quickly humbled by the amazing talent out there and kickstarted my education again. Read More

I started teaching in high school when friends would ask me questions about drumming techniques. From this I began taking on elementary age kids and grew to about 10 students a week in New York before leaving for Berklee. I have taught and performed for many Berklee Summer Programs including Basslines, Vocal Workshop, Stage Performance Workshop and Five Week. After graduating Berklee I took on 35 students a week from Jan-June 2013, before working as a musician on Celebrity Cruise Lines. Read More
