My began teaching 8 years ago when I taught 3 students to play bass and guitar. We started from scratch and I was happy to see the results in a short while. In a month (10 lessons) we could play a chosen song without mistakes. I still remember that It was Marigold by Dave Grohl. That's what inspires you to teach! Speaking about my performing experience, I have 10 years of playing on stage, including huge open-air city concerts and chamber music events. Read More

My teaching style is designed to give each student a feeling of progress and real growth each lesson. It's essential that every student practice every day for at least 30min in order for my method to really work. In short, I like to be a resource for my students. A person who can present the information as clear and concise as possible. If the student wants to learn just rock or blues, I would show them licks and scales that are primarily used in those styles as well as learn any song they want to learn. Read More

For beginners, I typically start with Stick Control: For the Snare Drummer by George Lawrence Stone, and The Drumset Musician by Rod Morganstein. Once the student has grasped the fundamentals, I sculpt the lesson plan depending on the style(s) the student would like to learn, from Rock and Funk to Jazz, Latin and more. For intermediate to advanced students, I try to figure out what goals the student would like to achieve, and then plan a lesson that will help the student achieve those goals. Read More

I am a passionate and motivated teacher who loves working with students of all ages and share my love of music. I have been a musician for 20 years. I have played in concert orchestras, churches, and local venues. I have been a Worship Pastor or Music Director for over 10 years. My goal is to help everyone understand and enjoy the power of music. I help students learn to play by ear, understand music theory, and coach them into finding their own sound. Read More

Designing practice programs that cater to the learning styles for each student is something I take pride in and find to be most effective and efficient way to improve. I will get my students prepared for any situation they want to take part in, whither it be auditions, recitals, casual gigs, recording sessions, and more. With that said, I believe passion is the most important aspect of improving on any instrument, and will be made a priority so that the student is able to pursue whatever playing style or genre they love most. I firmly believe that nurturing passion for music and the drums is the ultimate goal of any private instructor. As such, I prioritize student agency to make their own musical journey. My role is to make this journey as smooth and efficient as possible by providing the appropriate materials and guidance. Though I always provide plenty of materials to enrich a student in between lessons, I don't enforce a particular practice schedule, nor do I ever scold students for meeting any "standard". Read More

Over the last few years and while feeling that some areas had been completed and other new ones were opening up ahead, I concentrated with much love, patience, persistence, and research in the writing of educational music books. My goal was to present my own views on music education since I discovered areas that lacked certain kinds of educational material. I tried to cover those areas in the most comprehensive way possible while at the same time sharing all my lifetime personal knowledge and experience. Read More
