Once the student has a good grasp on basic reading and technique, I usually introduce rudiments and start working on solo or play along repertoire. I began teaching music when I was 18, I began teaching private drums and piano lessons in my home studio, I've been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 7 years. Upon graduation, I got my first music teacher position at Rishon Lezion conservatory, I taught private saxophone, flute, drums, and piano lessons as well as group music theory lessons and directed students ensembles. It helps get them engaged immediately and want to play. It's good to take the first couple of lessons to gauge my students pace and see how they progress.
