I guess my point is, I can play any instrument and if I had more time in the world, I could practice more. I took all of the music classes in my college and I passed with flying colors (except brown because he has a broken wing so he can't fly that much, but other colors flew high). I encourage this concept by working to set achievable goals for my students. Also I work to better understand and find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. As a teacher I try to inspire my students. Whether its playing a song for them to motivate them, breaking things down to the most simple element, I approach teaching in a pragmatic way. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my students develop their own style in music and art. This progress happens at his or her own pace.
