By doing so the student will be able to imitate, assimilate and finally innovate, which is the goal. Listening to lots of records and copying what the drums are playing is critical! Not only will I do my best in teaching fundamentals, technique or more developed concepts on the drums but I will also provide skills necessary to be able to self-learn and practice efficiently so that the student can troubleshoot and not fully depend on a teacher. I am an enthusiastic drummer of 10 years who has recently learned how to play the guitar, bass, piano, and how to sing. I have played both drum set and percussion in a variety of formats including: wind ensemble, jazz band, African drumming ensemble, marching band, and in my personal rock band.
