My musical background originally consisted of classic rock and blues music. I then wanted to expand my pallet of music while attending Hunter College for my Bachelors of Music with a concentration in Jazz Performance, therefore, I began studying Jazz, Funk, and Latin music. 
This consisted of joining the college Big Band and many small Jazz and Contemporary music groups gaining much experience. I've had many opportunities to learn from some of the greatest musicians in the world and I am excited to share that knowledge with my students. Read More

For beginner students, I often begin with the foundations of the instrument. For drums, we would be practice the rhythmic subdivisions (quarter, eighth, sixteenth notes) and slowly work them into grooves that they can easily start to pick out of their favorite songs. When the fundamentals have been established, we can learn more advanced grooves, dissect songs together, and learn how to improvise and write our own drum parts. Ive taught private lessons at music stores as well as at my home studio for the last 20yrs. I truly enjoy connecting with students and helping them reach their musical goals. It is great to see students overcome how to play a piece or a lick and get the confidence to apply their new skills in other musical situations. I am an Argentinian born, Brazilian raised drummer/percussionist based in Brooklyn since 2011. I spent the previous three years studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
