My methods to teaching beginners piano is very logical in that it the fundamentals I teach build upon each other. You can think of if like a pyramid. On the bottom of the pyramid we start with the notes of the piano. By the end of lesson one it is my goal for the student to know the name of every single note on the 88-key piano/keyboard. Piano students will also learn basic rhythm comping skills and learn what it's like to play in a rhythm section while I accompany them on drum set.  I have my lesson booklet available for purchase in which each student can design their own curriculum to meet their goals.  I also recommend additional books for each student as they develop more specific interests and needs.
