My teaching expereince dates back to before I graduated undergraduate school. Since I had a semester to wait for Commencement, I was afforded an opportunity to work as a Teacher assistant, in an Open Classroom Learning Environment. This immediately preceded a very rewarding Student Teaching experience in the rural southern state of North Carolina. I was an educator in the Seneca Falls Central Schools for 38 years where I first became an instrumental music teacher. I taught woodwind lessons grades 5-12 and conducted elementary and middle school bands. I coached high school woodwind groups and was assistant marching band director, as well as woodwind adjudicator for the NY State School Music Association.
