I feel each of my students are unique. I love watching my students' level of musical understanding progress. I love seeing the dedication and determination begin to heighten as the lessons progress. Within each lesson I point out areas that need to be worked on as well as areas of improvement. Seeing one's progress is the most important element to me for my students. I really began teaching when I was in high school and then going into college. During high school I was discovered by different middle school and elementary school music teachers and asked to come teach their students. As I began working at different schools, I was asked to give private lessons. I taught beginner masterclasses, private lessons, and traveled to different schools for about two years. I am an active soloist, orchestral player, and chamber musician currently living in Boston! I have performed with leadership roles in a variety of local ensembles, including the New England Conservatory Philharmonia and Wind Ensemble, as well as the New England Philharmonic.  My performance activities brought me on tour with the University of Washington Wind Ensemble to Beijing in 2013 and I have recently had the opportunity to travel internationally to work with renowned flute specialists, such as Jeanne Baxtresser, Bonita Boyd, and Leone Buyse. I leads masterclasses, adjudicates competitions and auditions, and perform throughout the community, and have played Flute and Piccolo with the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra since 2019. I earned my Master of Music degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Music at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
