I tailor my teaching style to each student.  When something clicks for them, I stick with it and adapt to keep the student engaged, interested, and passionate about music.  If I find a student is not fond of a certain book or solo, we change course together. I have developed my own system and materials for introducing the fingerings and reading music in a methodical way. I write my own simple exercises and songs. I use the Wagner book and a duet book, and appropriate solos depending on the interests of the student. I customize the lessons and go where the student's needs and interests are. I am a passionate teacher and musician and I have experience teaching students of all ages. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a concentration in flute. I'm currently enrolled at the Hartt School where I am pursuing my masters degree in Flute Performance. I co-direct the Hartt School's Flute Choir and teach private flute and piano students.
