I started playing the flute before 6th grade and instantly fell in love with the flute and with music. Inspired by the wonderful music teachers I had over the years, I strive to provide that same level of care, knowledge, fun, and passion for music to all of my students. In 2011, I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance. As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student develop a passion for music. If my students do not leave every lesson feeling inspired, encouraged, and wanting to practice and play music, then I am not doing my job. Just as I tailor each lesson to match the individual student, expect the student to grow and develop as a musician at his/her own pace.
