Alongside the Assistant Band Director Mr. Yuji Jones, I was tasked to help teach, drive, and critique students both in their music and marching capabilities. For the final week of band camp, I was able to lead the saxophones alone during their music rehearsals. I have a more laid back teaching style that is adapted to the student's personality and learning style. The last thing that any student wants is a stressful environment. Musical lessons should be challenging and have an element of fun as well. The student should leave the lesson wanting to come back to another lesson not feeling like they should put their instrument down and give up. I also was an Intern as music teacher, student teaching, for 1 Semester of Senior year – 2017 – 2018. For my professional experience, I have done a few gigs on trumpet.
