I have been teaching flute since high school. My high school was also a middle school and I would teach the beginners. Leaving high school I was asked to come back once a week to have group lessons and 1 on 1 lessons with middle and high school students. I was recommended other students from different schools and proud to have them succeed and make it in honor bands and state solo and ensemble. Read More

I have been teaching flute lessons in music conservatories to students from beginner to advanced level for more than 15 years. I have also taught flute master classes and woodwind sectionals to youth ensembles and youth orchestras. I have experience teaching music to K-2 children in private schools, and music summer camps. Read More

I really take a look at what the student needs to learn and what the student wants to learn because I've seen a lot of students giving up because the institution or teacher is giving to much theory and very poor practice. I try to balance those responsibilities to a point that the student will always be learning something new as long as I work on their motivation and consistency of keeping up so they can learn how to play anything they like and want. For beginning students who are children, I typically start out with Rubank Elementary Method for flute or piccolo. For very young students who have never read music, I would begin with flute posture on a special Suzuki flute if the student is smaller framed. Blowing and embeshure is of utmost importance the first few weeks and I will have students practice blowing into a bottle and only the head joint of their flutes. Read More
Instruments: Saxophone Flute Clarinet
When first introduced to a new student, I typically have them play for me to assess their abilities on the instrument as well as their knowledge of general music theory. Once that is done, I am then able to recommend the appropriate materials that work best for the student. For students at any level, I try to see what they are interested in musically and fit time in their development to work on the things that get them excited about music and also help them progress on their instrument. My teaching started in the final years of high-school. I started teaching trumpet to kids. Once I started college in Buenos Aires(Argentina) in a music composition degree I worked with several masters in a multitude of instruments(violin, flute, trumpet, guitar) which i was able to start teaching and performing live. At the same time I developed a craving for movement practice and martial arts. This 'kinetic' approach allowed me to be much better with my students, analyzing their body and consequently their needs in regards to practice. Read More
