I tailor each of my lessons to the needs and desires of each individual. I am fond of using method books such as Hal Leonard's Essential Elements or Bruce Peterson's Standard of Excellence (or, with school children in a band program, whatever their method book may be), but I also like to bring separate handouts or sheets of exercises, drills, and songs that I have created over the years. I have been a private tutor/teacher to public, private, and homeschooled elementary students since 2017. I focus on specific subjects with certain students, but some students receive instruction in all subjects including music. I am currently teaching 2 beginning piano students. I have taught occasional private flute lessons for high school students throughout my undergraduate studies and last summer, I ran flute sectionals during a local high school's band camp.
