I'm a former "Talent Grant" student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in The Netherlands. I have performed a wide variety of works ranging in style from Marin Marais to Maurizio Pisati. As a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician, I can be found performing in venues all over the world from the Bass Hall in Ft. Worth to Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam. I began teaching flute lesson when I was a sophomore in high school in 2010 by helping middle school students, as well as other high school students, to prepare for band auditions. I taught throughout my time in college as well. I took a short break after graduating with my master's but have since returned to teaching in the Rockwall area. For beginners, I like to start with the Rubank method books, which progress pretty rapidly. I also focus on tone production and scales as we move along at the level of the individual student. I gauge the speed at which we move based on the student in question, and prepare a practice routine for each student based on how much time they have to practice each day. For an intermediate to advanced student, I work with more the more advanced Rubank method books, and suggest solo literature appropriate for them to prepare. Read More

I will try to tailor the teaching style to the students personality, because everyone is different. We will take things at the students pace as well to ensure proper growth as a player.
