I'm an experienced guitarist and bassist hoping to share my love for these instruments. In May 2023, I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. During my time at Northeastern, I played guitar in a band called DeckParty with two friends from high school and collaborated with a variety of different artists, playing guitar on over 30 songs that have been released on Spotify. For piano I prefer the Faber series. I like to include scales, sight-reading, and repertoire of the students choosing and of my suggestion. For Voice I like to cover the anatomical fundamentals (posture, breath, phonation, and depending on age), in the first lesson, and each lesson includes a warm-up as well as at least one piece of repertoire of the students choosing. My approach is for you to experience playing music as something enjoyable, something you like, and that you look forward to learning more about. Teaching and learning music is fun for me so I try to balance the fun with learning the basics! I would say my second best quality as a teacher is being able to teach the theory behind the musical they are learning. I mainly teach voice, guitar, and piano, but through those styles, I also teach jazz guitar, vocal improvisation, classical and jazz theory, ear training, vocal technique, and composition  and arranging. I have been teaching Private Lessons since 2008. I began in California (where I am from), teaching guitar and electric bass to younger kids in the high school and middle school I went to. Then in 2010 I went to Berklee to focus on my studies, developing my skills in performance and in education, while always performing and teaching privately on the side.
