Hello music lovers! My name is Lilly Scott. I have been sharing my love of music, with students of all ages, as a private music instructor since 2012. I specialize in advanced vocal instruction and talent development. I'm a firm believer in reading music, no matter what style of guitar you want to play. As someone who didn't grow up with music, the thought of reading music seemed like a huge hurdle. However, I discovered that it was easier than I thought and being able to read music helped me to understand larger concepts down the road. Depending on experience level I like to get people making music as soon as possible. I know that trudging through the basics can be tiring. Of course some basics are neccesary but I like to make the basics sound as musical as possible. We will cover the fundamentals but we'll do so in such a way that it won't feel like so much work. I like to use books, depending on skill level, for reference but I have a very hands on approach and feel that the best work to be done together is the stuff that can't be found in the book. Read More
