I am a student of the Music Department at the University of Pennsylvania and I am seeking employment in fields relevant to my passion: music. I am studying jazz drums and general music theory. I am a member of the school's big band program, having also acted as business manager, booking gigs and performing all around Philadelphia. I also play with multiple groups outside of school. I have over a decade of experience playing guitar, bass, and drums as well as strong foundational experience in vocalization and keyboard. Read More

I'm a lover of music and want those who pursue music to be as well! I am passionately motivated as a musician, minister of music, and singer. I have performed throughout this nation as a guest musician and in my own backyard as a vocalist and musician. Even though my college was not specifically a school of music but of biblical academics, I as highly involved in anything that music was apart of eventually graduating and becoming the schools minister of worship. I've been teaching music for a little over 5 years (2014). I have started many kids who don't know if they would rather learn guitar, drums, or piano. So I give them a tour of all three and show them the basics before they decide their favorite. I encourage consistent practice and practice methods that ensure that the students always feel a sense of improvement without frustration. Personally I've felt the sense of improvement after practicing but was still more agitated, but that was college, before I started teaching. Read More

As said above, number one in my mind is meet the student where they are. I want to find a way to be not only a teacher for a student, but a way to be a mentor. Students spend years with teachers and they can very quickly become such an important component and role model. If there's a single thing I want my students to learn, is to love music. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, and have been consistently teaching students ant homes and in my home studio in Antioch for the past 3 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

I eventually earned a degree in Fine Arts and German language from the University of Texas at Austin. To this day, I use what I have learned to teach the future generations how to make beautiful music. Back in Texas I ran a private music studio where I would take on students in the San Antonio area. As I accumulated more and more students, I noticed most suffered from some sort of mental disability. Read More

My teaching style is tailored to however the student learns best. I am very adaptive to the student's focus and will constantly check to see if the current topic we're going over makes sense or if they'd like to move on to something else. I also believe that positive reinforcement is very important and that one should always think positively about every accomplishment big or small. My philosophy is that you are only competing against yourself and that if you are better than you were yesterday, then it is a success. Read More
