It gives me great joy seeing a student's enthusiasm and connection with the guitar as they develop their talent as a musician and human being. I also enjoy the interpersonal relationship that grows with the parent and child from the early stages into working through the teen years together. A music education not only fosters talent but builds a student's character both physically and mentally. Read More

I am not a teacher of "cookie cutter" lessons. I like to consult with parents and students before preparing an individually-tailored lesson plan for each of my students. It's my goal to engage students through music they already love, and (at the same time) introduce them to new music ideas and musical concepts/challenges. Building early repoire between teacher and student is crucial to building a working knowledge for performing music later on. Read More

For brass players, I use Arbans, Bordogni, and Blazhevich etude books coupled with Rubank and other duets to form a solid foundation. From there I try and let the students' own interest in music guide other parts of practice. With strings I like to start out with the Hal Leonard beginning books to get the basics of reading music. From there I couple learning popular tunes the student picks with developing method books to maintain a strong fundamental of playing. Read More

I'm still trying to figure out how to put it down. This passion naturally led me to attend Berklee College of Music, which I graduated from in 2015. During my years at Berklee, I took advantage of many opportunities to perform and gig around the Northeast with numerous award winning bands. I enjoy nothing more than sharing the secrets I have learned from years of studying guitar and performing around New England. Read More

I ultimately hope that I can instill my students with a passion for music while ensuring they have fun! I stress the importance of regular practice in order for students to make weekly progress, and ultimately desire to help them develop their playing technique and theoretical knowledge while making room for them to explore their personal interests and enjoy playing their instrument. Since I have a broad array of musical interests, I am accordingly open to incorporating different aspects of musical study such as writing and recording into lessons as students progress, as I find the act of creating something of one's own to be an incredibly valuable part of making music.
