I've taught private lessons, group lessons, workshops, and youth music camps since 1998. I tailor my lessons to each student, according to his/her own goals and musical tastes. I like to get to know my students and find out what/who they like musically, then use that knowledge to demonstrate the things we're working on so they can hear it in action. If students want to write their own songs, we apply what we've learned to their songs too. Read More

Hi! My name is Daniel and I have been teaching guitar for over 15 years. I started playing the guitar at a young age. I learned mainly by ear from the first year or two, and asked anyone I met who played to teach me anything they could. Once I knew the basic chords and could play a few songs, I began taking professional lessons. My teacher taught me how to develop my ear properly so I could learn what I wanted without any help. As a musician, it is very important to understand the perspective of all instruments and how they work together. The better that one understands this connection, the more profound their contribution will be when playing with others. As a teacher, my goal is to assist each student in finding their own creative voice and guide them through the process of learning to express themselves through music. In addition to learning the guitar, I encourage my students to listen carefully and take notice to all the accompanying instruments in the music that they enjoy listening to. Read More

I began teaching to some degree in middle school. I would help the school guitar teacher with beginner and advanced guitar during lunch. Most of my responsibility was reinforcing the lessons and practicing alongside individual students who were struggling. While attending high school, I was the only guitarist for the school band and got requests for private lessons from my peers, which I gladly accepted. Those experiences were the first times that I was truly teaching lessons. Read More

For teaching children, I approach teaching as to the execution of everyday and fun pieces, so that the child learns by, and in turn I introduce aspects of academic learning necessary to create a solid base. In the same way, with young and adults, I make a work placement of the necessary techniques for a good and fast implementation, from technical learning exercise repetitive and daily ices, as well as the elaboration of a plan that involves their daily chores.
