I'm a professional jazz guitarist for 30 years and have performed, recorded and toured with many outstanding musicians including Bill Carrothers, Dave King, Michael Lewis, Daniel Carter, Sean Wayland, Matthias Bublath, Willie Wisely, Mark Ledford, Funky Town Studios and TROMA Films. I received my BFA from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis studying with award-winning composer Judith Lang-Zaimont and passionately pursuing jazz and classical guitar performance.

I work with the student to learn what they are interested in learning. All my students learn to read traditional notation as well as tablature. I like method books like Hal Leonard , especially for the complete beginner - but  I supplement with other repertoire I have found throughout the years. No matter what the ability level and age, I try to find out what music the student is interested in. I do not teach from prefabricated books but rather teach songs to students and within those songs there are lessons. I have devised my own teaching methods which have been highly successful.
