My main goal and teaching is to inspire self motivation and make it fun! I like to pick songs that are fun to play and challenging at the same time depending on what level you are at that time. For over 6 years now, I have been teaching flute within different contexts. Some of the most meaningful teaching experiences I have had have taught me about the unique relationship we each have with the art of music. I continued my flute studio and became a band director in 2000 and taught band in North and South Carolina until 2014. Additionally, I have played bass at a number of churches around the DFW Metroplex some of which include Southlake Baptist, Creekwood United Methodist, Crossroads Bible Church, and First United Methodist McKinney. I have also been a member of several local level Denton indie rock and pop bands, and have experience in an orchestra at the high school level in which I qualified for UIL State solo and ensemble in 2013.
