I'm a Massachusetts based pianist who specializes in both traditional and contemporary solo and chamber music. I have given performances throughout Japan, as well as solo and chamber appearances in Boston and Salzburg. Additionally, I have participated in numerous competitions, including Nakatsu An Die Music, and was awarded 1st prize, as well as receiving the Jury prize for the Gyula kiss International Competition. Watchign a student improve right before your eyes is incredibly rewarding, as I have learned from my many years of teaching sailing. I think it is crucial to keep the student engaged so that this improvement remains attainable and consistent. This is accomplished by setting many small goals and by tailoring the lessons to the student's interest. I encourage my vocalists to explore different styles and techniques to find the best fit for their instruments. I also teach theory and sight singing using various different methods and tools.
