Since High School (2005) I began to teach music in my own studio in Puerto Rico, working with kids and adults. My main goal is to create a collaborative work plan. I will never impose a single method in all the students, because we all have different aspirations and different priorities. I will help you as a student to accomplish any goals you can have and I will do whatever it takes to keep you motivated. Read More

I've found the best way to teach is to cater to each student's interest. While early or beginning players may require some fundamental grunt work, there is always a way to assure that it's fun too. Earlier students would need to start learning the basics: rhythm, learning to read, developing technique through scales etc. of which there are many methods. As students mature, I feel the Suzuki method for aspiring classical students is the best route (there are multiple books in this series) along with some other extensive and more challenging works. Instruments: Trumpet
From a young age, I've been interested in music, and I would often tap around on my grandma's piano, but alas I went toward brass instruments. I started playing trumpet in middle school around the age of 11, and I've been playing trumpet for about 11 years. I played for 3 years in my high school's marching band, winning state championship's one year, and 3rd the other years. I've played in jazz bands, concert bands, and I've participated in MPA. For students that are just starting, I love using Bastien Piano Basic books and Alfred's Basic Piano library! These both have great selections and have all different levels to meet the student's needs. After the student moves out of these basic piano books, we can start working on learning songs and developing some solo pieces for their repertoire. For adults that are learning piano, I leave a lot up to the student because most of the time they already have something in mind that they would like to learn or work their way up to learning a particular piece.
