My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 4 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 2 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. In 2004, I graduated from Hartford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance. In 2006, I graduated from Manhattan School of Music with a Masters degree in Piano Performance. During the financial crisis in 2008/2009 I lost a lot of students. I decided to try something else. I went back to school and earned a second Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. I even ended up getting a job as a software engineer at IBM, but I soon realized that it is not the right thing for me. I missed playing the guitar and interacting with aspiring guitar players.
