If a student does not trust his or her teacher than they will be less encouraged to learn and practice. During my time in high school I began teaching by tutoring my peers in music performance, music theory, and music history. Beginning students who are children are introduced to the joy of music not just by singing songs, but in a course that teaches music literacy, vocal technique, and ear training as well. Most importantly, we are having fun while taking this journey. As for older teens and adults, I discover what interests the student and guide my instruction accordingly.
