I am a passionate and driven violinist who enjoys enriching the lives of others with the joy of music. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. I began performing with the Fox Valley Orchestra during my second year of university and continue to perform with them today. As I said earlier I tend to use the Rubank and Essential Element books in lessons. I start with seeing what the students goals are and making a goal sheet. For instance if a student is interested in Musicals. We will start with our basic warm up and techniques but on top of that I would assign an excerpt from a musical that correlates with the current lesson. My teaching style varies from student to student. Everyone learns differently and I tailor each lesson based on that particular student's learning style. Each student will start off with warmups, even if they have warmed up themselves, so I can gauge how their voice is working on that particular day.
