My studies with him prepared me to study with Jay Lawrence, Utah's premier jazz drummer, and to qualify for a music scholarship at Brigham Young University, where I performed in several jazz groups and orchestral groups. My goal with each student is to teach the fundamentals of the violin/viola, and especially how to practice in an organized way.
