I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. I approach each student differently because each person has different strengths, needs, and goals. No two lessons are ever taught the same way because each one is tailored to the individual. I am happy to work with students on specific repertoire for auditions or other events, and/or on general literature simply for the love of singing and the joy of growth. I began my formal education at Cornish School of Allied Arts in Seattle as Classical Cello major, moved to their Jazz Department as a Bassist and then to the University of Washington to complete my degree in Music Education.
