I'm a quietly passionate instructor motivated by my love of music and my students. In 2016, I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a Minor in Music. As an undergrad, I often found my love of music creeping into my major coursework-- including my thesis! I teach using the Suzuki method with emphasis on scales, proper technique, and individual music preferences. For beginning students, I begin with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements book. Once the student begins to grasp the understanding of reading music, I transition to teaching scales, and into the Suzuki books.
