I am passionate about music and about helping find the unique approach for each student. Music Theory is the language of music and I focus a portion of each lesson learning that language. My only reward is seeing one of my students getting better, and developing a passion for music! I will work with each student at their own pace to ensure that they are able to reach realistic goals. I will encourage students to be problem solvers by LISTENING to my instruction, APPLYING what they have heard, and then LEARNING from what they've applied. My students of all levels have been made aware of what is amazing in their playing and, in turn, felt encouraged to bring the other aspects of their musicianship to the same level. My very first young student confided in me that he originally wanted to quit the violin, but my instruction convinced him to keep pursuing music. After graduating from the University of Tulsa, I began teaching at Brook Fine Arts Academy in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I taught over 30 students a week in both voice and piano (ages 3 to 20) for over a year.
