Once the student has progressed to the intermediate level - solid fundamentals, musicianship, and a desire for learning - I introduce solo repertoire. I teach using the Suzuki method with emphasis on scales, proper technique, and individual music preferences. For beginning students, I begin with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements book. Once the student begins to grasp the understanding of reading music, I transition to teaching scales, and into the Suzuki books. More advanced students will be learning out of the Position Pieces books by Rick Mooney, Foundational Studies by Alwin Schroeder, as well as any other music that they are interested in. Read More

I have focused my playing through rigorous practice and pushing myself to play with great musicians.
