I started teaching voice lessons in early 2016 to young students from 6 to 15 years old. I then worked at the Willow Glen Music School from 2019-2020 to teach voice and piano to students from 4 to 70 years old. Since 2020, I've been teaching online vocal lessons to singers from 14 to 50 years old. I keep an open mind to switching things up if and idea isn't clicking, because the student and their love for music is what I care about most. I am originally from Guanajuato, Mexico and in my last year of high school, I decided to take private piano lessons with a local teacher and it was during this time period that I learned classical pieces by Beethoven and Mozart. For beginners children, I like to start with a primer book. Either through the suzuki method or piano adventures. Also, there are instances where I find simple pieces from different composers, put them together into a booklet and start teaching through those while having the student write music theory in a music notebook. For beginner adults, I think its best to start with things they're interested in playing. I know that adults gravitate towards music because they would like to play some of their favorite songs and through that I teach them music, both theory and practice.  Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for singing! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I try to set realistic goals for my students at each lesson. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs!I encourage my students to practice at least 15 minutes per day and I continually each student new materials to practice( which is age appropriate.) My teaching method always includes at least one Broadway musical piece and one monologue for them to learn in case they need an audition piece. Read More
