Starting as a self-taught player, I received formal training in the instrument at the University of California, Davis under the instruction of Marilyn Swan. There I played in several chamber ensembles, including a performance of Schubert's Trout Quintet. I have been playing the guitar for about 13 years and have been teaching for about 4 years. My teaching experience began in college as I taught private lessons to other students and even some faculty. Since I graduated school, I began working in a music production and recording studio where I teach music lessons and help artists produce and record their own music. Playing piano is my greatest reward in life, being able to bring a smile to a face of any age. After graduating from Cal Poly with a concentration in performance and theory, I was musical director of The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville theater. I was able to broaden my horizons performing, teaching, composing and arranging all different styles of music.and can even play piano upside down now!
