For beginning students, I usually prefer to use the Suzuki method, as this is the method I grew up on, and I prefer to teach the knowledge that I find useful in the method. However, my lessons are not solely based on my preference, as I identify individual strengths and weaknesses and target those in the sessions. For beginning students, I typically start with the Rubank Elementary Method Flute Book by A. C. Peterson. Once the student has progressed and has managed to grasp fundamentals, we can proceed to the next volumes within the same series. For adults, I typically do my best to see what they are interested, and will guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons intriguing. She received her bachelor and master’s degrees at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Cleveland Orchestra Principal Cellist, Mark Kosower. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in cello performance at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music where she studies with Professor Alan Rafferty. In addition to her performances on stage, Ms. Ma has appeared in movies with famous actors such as Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith, Justin Chatwin, Peter Stormare and Elizabeth Anweis. Read More

Noah W. recently earned a masters degree in classical guitar performance at the University of Cincinnati (CCM), where he served as a teachers assistant. He also holds a bachelors in classical guitar performance from UC and an associates degree in music from Sinclair Community College. Noah mainly plays classical guitar but also has experience performing rock and pop. Through those songs, I can introduce many technical and musical concepts. It is very important that this is a positive musical experience.
