I am a classical violinist with a very deep passion for classical music. I did my Bachelor's from 2016 to 2020 in Music Performance at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey ad I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in music, also at the Mason Gross School of the Arts. Performing is a very strong passion of mine and I am glad I had the opportunity to perform in Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, as well as several music festivals such as the Killington Music Festival in Vermont, the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina, and the Summit International Music Festival in New York. I enjoy teaching students my craft in percussion whether it is drumset, world or classical genres. I have both experience in Orff and Kodaly methodology. I teach students to listen to each other and to learn and know the music that they play so that they are not playing just notes. They make the music, so what they play is there's to share. Playing the instruments require knowing the instrument that is being played and while they do this, they learn how to sing, and write the music and identify what styles and genres the music is intended. I approach music education in a practical way, what I mean with this is that I teach songs that my students like so they enjoy what they are learning. I encourage them to listen different kinds of music too so they can understand what music really is about. For Beginners and Intermediate students, I teach them songs that the want to learn and then I relate this songs to music theory, I teach them how to practice and how to learn technical parts of the instruments from the songs that they like. I've taught lessons for a total of 8 years in New York City, Boston, and Midwestern Illinois. I've taught all kinds of students: children, teens, college students, adults, and retirees. Each student has come with their own goals and passions, and I enjoy helping each individual uncover, free, and develop the natural voice within. In addition to setting each student up with a solid vocal technique, I've taught basic music and vocal health to young children (ages 5-7), developed music reading skills in teens and young adults, helped retirees improve technically so they can better contribute to their community choirs, and even instructed a folk singer in improvisation, songwriting, and healthy folk vocal technique.
