For beginners, I show them basic chords (Major, Minor and Diminished) if they're a guitarist and if they're a bassist, I teach them octaves and basic waking lines. Once they progress, I show them common scales and chord progressions used in modern music and focus on developing technique. If they're intermediate to advanced, I ask them what they feel they need work on and we focus on that. For example, a student might want to know how to solo over a basic rock or blues progression or the bassist might wanna know how to make his basslines swing more. Read More

I have been teaching percussion lessons since 2010, when I lived in Norfolk, Virginia. I began teaching young K-5 students the basics of percussion like proper technique, posture, note recognition and values, different styles of music, etc. I began by asking the parents what their child was interested in and based on the conversation, I catered the lessons to each individual student. At the invitation of renowned pianist Arnaldo Cohen, Moises performed a solo recital for a full audience at the prestigious Sala São Paulo.
