I hold degrees in music education and saxophone from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and humanities from California State at Dominguez Hills, as well as a number of year's study in saxophone and jazz improvisation and theory at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee. My first lesson is focused on setting goals for yourself and unearthing musical dreams and ideas. The following lessons are about hitting that goal as soon as possible. I use a variety of materials for voice students. I may ask that my voice students purchase books of repertoire that contain songs useful for building on their strengths and working on their weaknesses. I have taught both privately and in a classroom setting. In addition to my school performances, I have also played with many bands since the age of seventeen. In general, I have been teaching since 2004 and it is the best job in the world! I absolutely love teaching and I always apply an enthusiastic mindset when I am teaching.
