I then picked up Bass guitar and performed alongside the Pep band and the Jazz band and continued my practice with both all the way through college. This makes me feel very good to see them grow musically. I set reasonable goals for them to strive for and help them get to the next level. I began teaching when I was in high school at 17 years old. My private teacher was abroad for the summer, so she gave me her younger students to teach while she was away. Since then, I have taught students of all ages between four years old and varying adult ages. My main goal in teaching is to inspire a passion and love for music. Recently I was the principal flutist in a professional chamber orchestra for many years and currently I am teaching. As much of my professional career has been in Latin America, I am bilingual. I have taught students ranging from ages six to sixty and from beginner to professional levels.
