After graduation I went and taught in Chicago for a few years and Greenville SC where I was the music teacher in both schools. For beginning students, I typically start with teaching the parts of the guitar and the string names. I then progress to the notes on each string and introduce some basic exercises for hand coordination. We can then progress through scales and chords and touching on some music theory. I have a year of teaching Chorus in the Guilford public school system. I also have musical theater experience.
