I began teaching when I was in high school at 17 years old. My private teacher was abroad for the summer, so she gave me her younger students to teach while she was away. Since then, I have taught students of all ages between four years old and varying adult ages. My main goal in teaching is to inspire a passion and love for music. I started teaching in university through the Baldwin Wallace Community Outreach program. I had a studio of about ten students for two years. I taught a large range of ages; one student was six years old and another was in her sixties. I believe that everyone can learn and deserves the gift of music. I have been playing the piano since I was 4. I have been awarded diplomas in piano performance and accompaniment from Trinity College London and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and did my Bachelor of Arts in Music (Piano Performance and Musicology) at the College of Charleston, SC, where I graduated summa cum laude. I went on to complete an artist certificate in Charleston and is now a Masters candidate at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Read More

When i start a beginner student, i like to use either Essential Elements or Suzuki for violin and cello. For piano, i like to use the Faber method books. As the student progresses with either instrument, I try to encourage them to continue with scales and to move up in their playing abilities and music reading.
