I have taught guitar for over twenty years to students of all ages and talents, in individual lessons and groups. I first started in my native Barcelona at the Taller de Msics, where I taught college-level students, jazz guitar, improvisation, and small jazz ensembles. In the United States, I have taught private lessons, group lessons, and after-school programs in Brooklyn and Manhattan. If the student relates to the material, everything will come much easier. I usually begin with music the student likes, and often use that same piece to pivot into learning drum notation. Once the student grasps the concept behind rhythmic notation and subdivision, presenting them with additional, more complex material is simple and becomes increasingly more rewarding!  In addition to teaching I am an active freelance flute and piccolo player. I love playing in symphonies and opera orchestras and have worked with conductors Pierre Vallet, Keith Chambers, and David Bernard among others. I particularly love the exhilaration of soaring above the orchestra on piccolo. I have performed at venues throughout the city including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Symphony Space.  I received my Bachelor's in Music in Flute Performance from New York University, graduating summa cum laude in 2007. In 2016 I graduate from The Collective School of Music in NYC with a Diploma in Music and Professional Drummer Performer.
