Instruments: Drums
I began teaching early into my drumming studies when my teacher asked me to fill in when he wasn’t available. That made it easy for me to relate to my students and my love of teaching grew alongside my love of drumming. I have studied the drums with William Lyons, Mark Schulman (Pink, Foreigner), and Zoro (Lenny Kravitz, New Edition). I have toured and recorded with a variety of bands and won the “Electronica Drummer of The Year” at the L.A. Read More

When receiving a student I first like to get to know the student by friending them. Asking question as to what their likes are and just getting to know them. For the beginner we start of with a Method book that fits their age and personaity and go from there. For the student that already has had past music experience I like to hear them play at first and see at what level they are to be able to place them on the correct method. Read More
Instruments: Piano Flute
While emphasis is on flute performance, included in lessons are: theory, ear training, sight reading, solfege, articulation, tone color & intonation study. Lessons are tailored in accordance to student's level and ability. Engaging students in variety of ways of learning (visual, auditory, etc), I also care of their personal stories, which I find brings great connection and makes learning much more fun for my students as they feel heard. I also teach beginners piano. Read More

Essentials are first. Note names, hand position, mouth position, air, posture, rhythms, sheet music, ear training - it's all important and needs to happen concurrently. Everyone has different strengths; some students are able to handle a large amount of information stacking while others need a more one-at-a-time approach. Music is all about doing several physical and mental things at once, developing self awareness in learning *how* to improve a skill, and myelinating the pathways in your brain for the fastest connections possible. The methods that I choose to use with my students depends on what they want to learn. Some students want to just play classical music, some pop, some jazz, some marching band, etc. Therefore I do not use the same teaching methods for all students. With that being said, I do make certain that all of my srudents understand the basic elements of music, i.e., time and key signatures, note values, melody, rhythm, harmony, pitch, intonation (if a wind instrument), form, theme and variation, etc. Read More

I've taught lessons to students since I was 19 years old, and music lessons to students since I was 22. Prior to the age of 22, my teaching experience was as a math tutor for the SAT, but that experience was invaluable in becoming comfortable with teaching generally, learning firsthand what techniques work best for teaching at a 1 on 1 level vs teaching a small group, how best to communicate material new to my students clearly and effectively, and to identify the need, when it arises, to spend a little more time on a given concept or topic. Instruments: Piano Guitar
I've been a passionate musician all my life. Ever since my Nana bought me a mini electric piano when I was 3 ears old, it's been a staple of my life ever since. I studied guitar and piano all through out grade school and high school and continued my music education into college. I studied production, jazz, and theory at JJC of Illinois before transferring to DePaul University. I moved to L.A to perform and have been here for the past year teaching music at the West Coast Music Academy of Santa Clarita. Read More
