I've tought from various method series including Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, Emily Wright's A Modern Cellist's Manual, Muller Rusch, and more. While I'm not a certifited Suzuki instructor, I do teach from the Suzuki method when students or parents request it. For my beginning students the first thing we look at is building internal rhythm, finger strength, and getting comfortable playing your selected instrument. Once the basics become more familiar, we'll move on to understanding music theory while applying it to real world applications. I recently graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Trumpet Performance and Music Production.
