I taught my first trombone lessons when I was still in high school, and I've always felt a strong connection to teaching (my parents are teachers too). When I was getting my masters, I began teaching beginning brass classes at local elementary schools, and this expanded into several elementary band classes upon graduation. My first venture with popular music was in 1986 playing vibraphone with SinTrans, a jazz group founded at the Conservatory Amadeo Roldn. SinTrans got to perform at the International Jazz Festival in Havana in 1987 and 1988. In 1993 I moved to Stockholm, Sweden where I developed my professional career as a musician, performing and recording with many of the most prominent artists and acts in Sweden: Nordman, Bo Kaspers Orkester, Bebo Valds, Lill Lindfors, Peter Jback, Carola, Blacknuss All Stars, Stockholm Folk Big Band, Jonas Knutsson, Magnus Lindgren Radiojazzgruppen, Janne Tolf and Mats Holmkvists Big Band to name a few.
