I have taught piano since my college days. I have seen the student's joy and pride through his/her musical accomplishment. Not only do I teach how to play the keyboard, but focus on the understanding of the music being played because that truly is the key (no pun intended) to successful learning. Teaching is a huge responsibilty that I do not take light heartedly. If we as teachers do a suburd job, it will have a huge effect on a students over all life. Musical education teaches us about the mind and body and balance between the two. It teaches us logic, problem solving, and creative thinking in balance with eachother.
