I hope all my students will become well-known instrumentalists in the future, but I set realistic weekly goals for my students. I design the curriculum according to the student's level and progress, and I highly encourage daily practice even though it could be a challenge. Acknowledging the progress and accomplishments while pointing out the places to improve on will help and motivate students to learn more. I will be able to tailor my instruction to students' pace and needs after the first two weeks of the private lesson. Read More

No matter what their goals are, we always find a way to meet and surpass them. Although I am a classically trained soprano, I have experience both singing and teaching Musical Theatre and contemporary styles of singing. I am open to helping my students achieve what interests them and makes them happy. While I expect my students to practice and get better during our time together, I also hope to foster an environment where they can feel that they can relax, have fun, and make mistakes. Read More

I think the most effective and the shortest way to learn something is to approach it as a game. Thus, the process of learning the ideology of piano touch and phrasing should involve as many games as possible. However, this does not apply to further process of learning as music is one of the most complicated forms of art and it demands deep emotional and conceptual approach. The games of the first stages should help students to develop their creativity, musical imagination and skills to interpret emotions. Read More

I'm a 24 year old composer, pianist, researcher, programmer and teacher from Los Angeles. I recently completed my bachelor's at New England Conservatory, where I studied piano with Bruce Brubaker and Ethan Iverson, and composition with John Mallia and Efstratios Minakakis. As a composer, my work engages acoustic and electronic sound, composition, software and electrical engineering to explore new modes of human and other-than-human interaction. My recent compositions include "Bona Dea", a vocal cyborg comprising 12 singers networked by live pulse data and haptic feedback; and "Works for Strings and Datura Innoxia in Lunar Regolith Simulant", a set of string pieces I wrote to catalyze the germination of California-native flowers growing in synthetic lunar rocks.
