I provide piano lessons at my studio in North Quincy, Squantum and at students' homes. I have 10 years teaching experience of all levels and ages. I performed at international festivals in Norway, Hungary, Syria, Canada, Italy, and Israel. I performed three times at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Most recently, I played in concert halls of Scotland, South Africa, and in multiple states of the USA . Eventually adding some beginner adult students into my rotation of kids as well! I taught a few college level students throughout my college years whenever I could and took on summer students during my breaks! I also tend to be a visual instructor , meaning I like to use tricks to teach students different vocal technique. I graduated with a BA in Music with Initial State Teacher Licensure, and worked with a Boston-area Summer High School Band Program sponsored by Boston Latin School at Symphony Hall, working with the woodwind and percussion sections on sight-reading and part-preparation for their summer concert. I've taught guitar and piano part-time for over 12 years. The first band I joined in high school did original pop/rock and used handwritten lead-sheets for all their songs so I had the experience early on of reading in a band setting. Read More

I always emphasize musicality in my teaching, because if as performers, we are focusing on being expressive, we'll convey our love of music! If a student can think about what the music is expressing, they will be more motivated to keep practicing.  I focus on the fundamentals such as tone, rhythm, dynamics, timbre, basic music theory and history. I always give specific positive feedback, along with a tip for improvement. Finally, I always go over how, how much, and what to practice in lessons, so the student can learn what to listen for and focus on outside of the lesson, and keep improving during the week. I have a patient, relaxed teaching style but I'm always ready and willing to push the student as far as they want to go, encouraging them to try their best.
