Along with the lesson books, i also encourage technical studies including scales, arpeggios and other studies to build up finger strength, dexterity and independence, As the student progresses, I introduce memory work, choring and basic improvisation. I've played Broadway for Music Man, Little Mary Sunshine, Fantasticks, West Side Story in Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg Area. My overall experience in playing Organ is 50 years along with Christmas musicals, Hymn sings, Gospel fests, etc. In college, I sang in Oratorio group to Vocal Jazz, Wind ensemble, and HandBell choir. I teach proper hand position and posture, work on scales, basic music terminology and playing technique.
