I began teaching in 2008 for a company where I taught for about five years. I have worked with students of many different ages teaching Guitar, Piano and Drums. I believe to really see any results with your instrument is going to require a solid dedication to practicing. Especially for beginners. The main thing is you really have to enjoy what you're doing as you're learning this new instrument or else becoming proficient at it is going to be a struggle. Read More

In those institutes I taught applied music, theories and solfege. In 2011 I came to U.S. and I started teaching at Faith Lutheran Academy of Music, and I also gave private lessons at students' homes. I have found from my experience from Baghdad, Lebanon, and now U.S. that so many methods and approaches can be used in music. For instance, a student might not show any interest in classical music but with certain way of teaching that music and choosing the right piece for the right person, I might change the feeling the student has. My favorite moments while teaching is the light bulb moments, for these to occure lessons are goal based and created around the students level of exsperiece, future goals, and personal goals. In the first lesson we set mini goals for each lesson, medium goals for the month, and large goals for something we want to work towards or a up and coming competition. I use a positive environment to help student feel good about their accomplishments, but also have them discover areas of improvement by recording them or asking them what they feel they did well and what they feel they need to work on. There is nothing more rewarding then to see a student achieve and accomplish a goal. I believe and always positively affirming and acknowledging there accomplishments. Positive reinforcement and encouragement always assist the student to strive and succeed. I always give my student the choice to decide between multiple pieces, but I always choose pieces with a new technique or concept, so the student is consistently learning. My job is to discovery the students desires then to formulate a lesson plan that will not only stimulate, educate and challenge but also make the learning experience enjoyable. Read More

I'm very friendly and patient. Learning music should be enjoyable, and never a burden. My students learn at their own pace and have fun doing it. I'm happy to work with youngters, providing they have a basic grasp of letters and numbers. Older beginners are some of my favorites, those who may have always wanted to learn and never had time before. It's never too early or late to bring music into your life, as it helps with concentration, dexterity, and relaxation! Read More

I have been teaching since 1998. I love making music fun for my students, while requiring students to learn fundamentals such as music theory and vocal health. Teaching has been part of my life for over 17 years and I hope to continue for at least that many more. I believe music is for everybody and that each individual can improve and learn if they care and make an honest effort. I also teach to the student's focus as the time: if preparing an audition we focus on that. Read More

I began teaching when I was 16 years old at a studio in Dearborn Heights. I have since worked at several studios around the metro-Detroit area and since 2012 have been teaching out of my home and online. Since the inception of my teaching career I have worked to enhance my techniques and conveyance of information through various collegiate and workshop experiences. One common thread holds true; I am aiming to instill in all my students, the same passion that I bring to every musical endeavor I embark on. Read More
